Submission Guidelines – International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJMRI)

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJMRI, ISSN: 2454-7204) welcomes original, high-quality, and unpublished research papers, review articles, and case studies from all disciplines. Authors are requested to follow these guidelines carefully to ensure smooth processing and publication of their manuscripts.


1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

  • Research Papers – Original research with detailed methodology and findings.
  • Review Articles – Comprehensive overviews of existing research on a topic.
  • Case Studies/Reports – Analytical reports on unique or significant cases.
  • Short Communications – Concise papers with important preliminary findings.

2. Submission Process

  1. Prepare the manuscript according to IJMRI formatting rules.
  2. Submit via online submission portal (or email: submit@ijmri.com).
  3. Manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening.
  4. Eligible manuscripts are sent for peer review (double-blind review system).
  5. Authors receive editorial feedback and may be asked for revisions.
  6. Upon acceptance, the final version must be submitted in Word (DOC/DOCX) format.
  7. Publication fees (if applicable) must be paid before final publication.

3. Formatting Guidelines

General Format

  • File format: MS Word (.doc/.docx) only.
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt.
  • Line spacing: 1.5.
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides.
  • Length: 3,000 – 6,000 words (excluding references).

Structure of Manuscript

  • Title Page: Title, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and corresponding author’s contact details.
  • Abstract: 150–250 words, summarizing objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: 4–6 relevant keywords.
  • Introduction: Background, research problem, objectives.
  • Methodology: Detailed methods used.
  • Results & Discussion: Findings with interpretation.
  • Conclusion: Summary of research contributions.
  • References: APA/MLA/Harvard style (as per author’s field).

Tables & Figures

  • Numbered consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.).
  • Must include captions and source (if applicable).
  • Should be embedded in the text near their first mention.

4. Referencing Style

  • Authors may use APA, MLA, or Harvard referencing style, depending on discipline.
  • References must be complete and accurate.
  • Example (APA):
    • Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), pages. https://doi.org/xxxx

5. Plagiarism & Ethics

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.
  • IJMRI follows strict Plagiarism & Ethics Policy (similarity index must be <20%).
  • Any violation may result in rejection, blacklisting, or retraction of published work.

6. Peer Review Policy

  • IJMRI follows a double-blind peer review process.
  • Review typically takes 2–4 weeks.
  • Authors may be required to revise manuscripts based on reviewer comments.

7. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • IJMRI is an Open Access Journal.
  • To cover editorial, review, and publishing costs, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies after acceptance.
  • Details of APC will be shared with authors upon acceptance.

8. Author Checklist (Before Submission)

✔ Manuscript formatted as per IJMRI guidelines
✔ Title page includes complete author details
✔ Abstract and keywords included
✔ Figures and tables properly labeled
✔ References complete and consistent
✔ Similarity index <20%
✔ Cover letter attached (recommended)
