Editorial Board Policy – International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJMRI)

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (IJMRI, ISSN: 2454-7204) is guided by an experienced Editorial Board that ensures the journal’s quality, ethical integrity, and academic relevance. This policy outlines the structure, selection, and responsibilities of our editorial team.


1. Composition of the Editorial Board

The Editorial Board of IJMRI consists of:

  • Editor-in-Chief – Oversees overall operations, sets policies, and ensures adherence to international standards.
  • Managing Editors – Coordinate manuscript handling, peer review, and publication workflow.
  • Associate Editors – Handle submissions in specialized subject areas.
  • Advisory Board Members – Provide strategic direction and guidance.
  • Reviewers – Assist in the double-blind peer review process.

2. Selection & Appointment

  • Members are selected based on academic qualifications, research experience, and publication record.
  • Appointments are made by the Editor-in-Chief and the Governing Body.
  • Tenure is typically 2–3 years, renewable based on performance and contribution.
  • Diversity across disciplines, institutions, and geographies is encouraged.

3. Roles & Responsibilities

Editor-in-Chief

  • Provides leadership and direction for the journal.
  • Ensures compliance with COPE, ICMJE, and DOAJ standards.
  • Makes the final decision on manuscript acceptance or rejection.

Managing & Associate Editors

  • Conduct initial screening of manuscripts.
  • Assign manuscripts to suitable reviewers.
  • Ensure timely peer review and maintain communication with authors.
  • Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection based on reviewer feedback.

Advisory Board Members

  • Provide strategic insights for journal growth.
  • Support in maintaining international standards and indexing eligibility.
  • Promote the journal among academic and research communities.

Reviewers

  • Evaluate manuscripts impartially under the double-blind review system.
  • Provide constructive, clear, and timely feedback.
  • Report ethical concerns such as plagiarism or research misconduct.

4. Code of Conduct

  • Editorial Board members must maintain confidentiality in handling manuscripts.
  • Decisions must be made objectively, without discrimination or bias.
  • Conflicts of interest must be declared and managed transparently.
  • Editors and reviewers must not use unpublished material for personal research.

5. Decision-Making & Accountability

  • Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance.
  • The board ensures fairness by avoiding any undue influence from external stakeholders.
  • In cases of dispute, the decision of the Editor-in-Chief is final.

6. Ethical Oversight

  • The board is responsible for investigating allegations of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or unethical practices.
  • Retractions, corrections, or clarifications will be issued when necessary.
  • The journal follows COPE’s flowcharts for handling ethical concerns.

7. Recognition of Contribution

  • Editorial Board members and reviewers are acknowledged on the journal’s website.
  • Certificates of appreciation may be issued for significant contributions.
  • Outstanding reviewers may be invited to join the Editorial Board.

8. Termination of Membership

  • Board members may be removed due to non-performance, ethical violations, or conflict of interest.
  • Voluntary resignation should be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief.
